Just minutes ago before I start writing, I read Kenny's post that he had his 30th birthday celebration at Delicious with his frens. Have a terrifc birthday touching the big 3. Happy Birthday again Kenny.

I have been a foodie enjoying Ms Read's chic and modern Delicious Cafe's comfort food that I will pop into this outlet in One Utama every time I am in KL. It's such a nice palatial cafe in terms of space with nooks for comfort chairs with plush pillows for you just to slough and yet enjoy your cuppa with scrumptious food and a good menu to go by. I have not tried everything and still the list is long but this time round, I decided just to have traditional English Afternoon Tea for Two which is served daily from 3~6pm.

I certainly enjoyed the nice cordial atmosphere here where you can sense that friends, families enjoyed their meals or whilst away the afternoon here over small talks and friendly chats as well as shoppers who just stepped in here from Ms Read boutique as Delicious is an inhouse cafe within. They have come to enjoy the delicious and mouth-watering food at affordable prices. In fact, Delicious is a brain-child of an accountant foodie, Benjamin Yong who turned entrepreneur by creating this runaway successful cafe within his mother, Helen Read's popular boutique known to cater to plus size women's wear and I belonged to this segment. I am sure he wouldnt have imagined from the start that his love and passion for food was such a catalyst into a venture, something that big.

Back to my afternoon tea. For RM59.90 we were served afternoon tea and an assortment of bites served in a Triple Tier. The Warm Scones that goes with preserved jam and pure cream was so lovely to enjoy. It comes with tea for two for which we ordered Peppermint Tea and they served this with a small cup of honey instead of fine sugar.

There was Finger Sandwiches but the smoked salmon sandwhich which we had wasnt as fresh and there was a slight tinge of fishiness which I abhorred it and the Duck Confit Filo Pastry was no filo but on toasted bread instead to my dismay.

Then we had the Strawberries which comes in two sticks of two sweet strawberries to Dip in the Chocolate. To add to the sweet afternoon, there was hand-rolled Chocolate Truffles, followed by something more savoury such as Rosemary and Cheese Cookies.

For choice of cake on display, we chose the heavenly Chocolate Brownie which is served with chocolate sauce and Vanilla Ice-cream, so sinfully rich for a calorie counter.

I could have asked for Banoffee Pie or Peach and Banana Crumbles or Berrilicious Chocolate Pavlova instead and yet everthing seems so yummy that we cannot decide.

Despite the slight disappointment we had today, I must say the food is still very good and we have enjoyed the meals we had during our last trips here.

We always suspect that this joint with the unpronounceable unreadable name is a top ladies choice. Or of the mis-aura with a feminine demeanor( sorry Kenny & yes congrats life beginner). You have reconfirmed our delicious suspicions !
