Dinner with ST at Chinatown - Holland V Nasi Lemak
It's America's Independence Day, 4th July and I was supposed to postpone an appointment with a fellow Batu Pahatian whom I have not met for about 20years. Instead she called and the meeting was on.
STee suggested that we go for Sarawak Kolo Mee in Chinatown but changed her mind when I arrived, as she misses Holland V Nasi Lemak instead which was located at a simple food station outside Chinatown MRT.
STee has migrated to Sydney and we have not met though she was staying in Singapore before as we were busy with our own lives. Under the canopy, we rolled out our life stories during the gap of 20years and it was amazing and I was awed by her steadfastness in her voyeur. She brought me back to old times when she was 14yrs and I recalled cos we were ex-Convent schoolmates.
We were oblivious to the busy crowd or the long queue at the famous money exchanger in Chinatown, but the Holland V Nasi Lemak was good and it took us through the nite with the stories that we exchanged. Wonderful nite indeed. We will meet again when she's back next.....
