WMeng is leaving Spore for good to return back home to KL and this is enough reason for another gathering and makan session. This time we go for Cantonese delicacy lunch at Joo Chiat by award-winning culinary extraordinariare Chef Ang Song Kang of Canton Wok.
He's the second Lei Garden Chef whose delicacies I have tasted since setting up their own dining restaurants, the first being Ju Bao at Upper Serangoon Road.
We set out in 4 cars of abt 20 present and ex-colleagues and all eagerly looking forward to some culinary and mouth-watering experience and of course the company of a friend whom we will soon miss. Arrived at a unique restaurant which we could not have miss, cos it's set in the 60's "pu ka lau" styled Peranakan house with it's own parking ground. Mid-course, a banker friend had dropped by for some matters while I was having my sharkfin soup but this did not defray me from enjoying the unique taste of Chef Kang's cooking.
